The Society exists to promote the interests of solicitors and trainees practising in South London. We represent hundreds of law firms and thousands of Solicitors in South London.
If you are not already a member, we hope that you will consider joining us. The Society is proud of its 60 plus years of existence. At a time where there are so many challenges on all sides, more important than ever is that members of the profession unite to ensure that their voices are heard and that active measures are taken to protect our members and most effectively present their case.
SLLS has active Law Society council members, including Akilah McEwen who represents the South London constituency, past president Sara Chandler who is the nationally elected Law Society Council Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion. Council members regularly attend SLLS meetings and events and are available to engage with practitioners on behalf of the Law Society.
The profession as a whole needs a strong and dynamic voice; the solicitors in South London further need representation for their special interests and characteristics. Our future very much depends upon members of the profession within our area and there is a need for them to support their local Society whose sole function is to support them.
We look forward to welcoming you on board.
